Updated! Now with brand new fuel pump!!! Well-maintained E60 M5 that’s been enthusiast-owned and primarily driven on highway trips rather than short stop-start driving. Full service history.
Clean, honest example that presents well and has been cared for properly — not a thrashed or neglected car.
Full details below for those who know what they’re looking at.
The Ownership Story
Third owner. I've had it for five years, transported it down from Central Queensland just as COVID hit — it had 136,000km on the clock then, and now sits at 160,100km. Those are predominantly highway kilometres; mainly weekend use and runs up to Tweed Heads. It's never been tracked, never been pushed stupidly, and for the full five years of my ownership it's lived in a secure undercover garage in Sydney under a fitted car cover.
Selling only to free up capital for a new venture. That's it.
What Makes This Example Stand Out
- S85 5.0L naturally aspirated V10 — 373kW, 8,250rpm redline, 0–100 in ~4.7 sec
- Eisenmann rear mufflers fitted by previous owner — sounds exactly as an E60 M5 should. Factory originals included if you prefer stock
- LCI front and rear lights — the updated look, especially noticeable at the rear
- 160,100km — majority highway, no track use
- Secure undercover garage + fitted cover — for the full five years of my ownership in Sydney
- Registration current until October

Condition — Honest Assessment
- Interior: Very good for its age. No rips, minimal wear. Small section on the passenger-side dash where the material has slightly shrunk — a few minor wrinkles, nothing structural or distracting.
- Exterior: Presents well. Paint is generally good — a few light scratches, three very minor carpark dents, and some stone chips on the front consistent with its earlier country use. Tyres have good tread remaining.
Service History
Maintained throughout my ownership by NV Motor Mechanical. I have photos of service documentation and can share these with genuine enquirers. This car has not been neglected — the paperwork supports that.
Honest, well-serviced example of one of the great BMW M cars. The V10 runs beautifully, the history is real, and the care has been genuine.
Anyone who loves these cars knows they get under your skin. The only reason this one is moving on is to fund what's next.
Pre-purchase inspection and oil analysis welcome at buyer's expense. Priced to sell given the condition, history, and the fact that these are quietly going up in value — not down. Serious enquiries only.
