This S class began to have mechanical problems so I bought a 2018 Mercedes GLE500e and transferred all the mechanical parts into the S. The S is now a 4WD with a twin turbo petrol V6, and a plug in hybrid. It is rated to do 3.3 l/100. But is also more powerfull than the original motor, so is slightly faster o/100 in 5.3secs.
I am not an auto electrician so when it was all installed but did not start I was unable to fix it. I then had a couple of strokes, so am selling it as an unfinished project. It comes with a wall charger, and if you want the original engine and gearbox too.
If you share my vision for a luxury car, with 4WD, off road ability, incredible performance and economy, and know a good auto electrician to get it running make me an offer. It should have all the features of the Gle hybrid like sat navigation, heated and cooled seats, and even possibly massage seats.
An S of this vintage is worth about $20,00 and a GLE 500e is about $45000. I am hoping to get $25000.
