Maybach officially returned to the global luxury car market in the early 2000s under
DaimlerChrysler (now Mercedes-Benz Group). The ultra-luxury Maybach 57 and 62 models
were produced in limited numbers and marketed as bespoke limousines for discerning clients.
Australian deliveries were incredibly rare, and only a small handful were imported during its
production run (2002–2012). This 57S Carbon Edition represents the pinnacle of that
offering — and possibly one of the finest surviving examples in the country.
