THE STORY
Making its debut at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany, the Jaguar XK X150 was the second and final generation of the Jaguar XK 2+2 grand tourer manufactured and marketed by British car manufacturer Jaguar Cars. It was notably designed by Jaguar?s chief designer Ian Callum, a prestigious car designer who has worked with Ford, TWR and Aston Martin.
The X150 features a bonded and riveted aluminium monocoque chassis with all-aluminium construction and bears a front grille styling reminiscent of the 1961 Jaguar E-Type sports car. It boasted a 32-valve 4.2L V8 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission manufactured by ZF Friedrichshafen ? the German technology company. Notably the interior featured steering-column mounted shift paddles.
Two body styles were available for the XK150 ? a three-door fastback coupe and a two-door convertible.
