Selling our 2005 Volkswagen Transporter after recently upgrading. This van has been a genuinely useful vehicle for us and has done exactly what we bought it for, helping us relocate from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast.
What makes it stand out is the practical internal conversion already completed in the rear. From the photos, you can see it has a raised platform setup with built-in storage, which makes it a great option for someone wanting a simple adventure van, travel setup, workhorse, or budget-ready converted Transporter without starting from scratch. It is a very usable layout and gives the next owner a strong head start.
Mechanically, a lot of important work has recently been done. The fuel pump has been repaired, the engine has been fully checked over, and the van is running very well. It has had substantial mechanical attention and all major components are in fine working order from our experience.
Cosmetically, it is not perfect, and there are a few surface-level imperfections as you would expect for a vehicle of this age, but overall it presents cleanly and the condition is solid. The photos were taken without even going into a full detail, so it still shows well as is.
Logbooks and vehicle history are with the van. The previous owners passed on a great vehicle to us, and now it is ready for its next owner.
The only main point to note is an ABS light, which means I have not pursued a safety certificate as yet. For someone with the time or know-how to sort that out, this represents a genuine bargain, especially considering the conversion work already done and the recent mechanical work completed.
This is a great option for someone wanting a practical, already-converted Volkswagen Transporter at a bargain price.
