2005 Mercedes-Benz C200 Kompressor - Elegance (automatic).
The car has been unbelievably reliable over the last 15 years and is in good overall condition for its age, however it has recently developed a transmission issue. It intermittently goes into limp mode (stuck in low gear), and the gear indicator on the dash can display incorrectly. The issue resets after restarting but returns.
From initial checks, it is likely a sensor/conductor plate issue, which is a known problem on this model.
Also recently noticed a strong petrol smell on startup, which may indicate a fuel system issue.
Engine runs well, and the interior/exterior present well for the age of the vehicle.
Selling as-is as I am moving overseas and don’t have time to repair.
Would suit a mechanic, someone familiar with Mercedes, or a buyer looking for a project or parts.
Priced accordingly for a quick sale.
