A little history here, no Type R was offered in 2005 the Type S was its replacement with an emphasis on luxury but not sacrificing its sporty DNA. The Type S is an evolution of the Type R, it has more power at a higher maximum RPM. 147 Kw at 7400 for the Type R vs 154 Kw at 7800 for the Type S. It has larger wheels 17 inch vs 15 inch, a better stereo, 6 stacker CD player, leather seats and sunroof. All up Type R performance at Type S price.
