Beloved camper looking for a home! Fitted out by current owner with much care over the last 6 years after purchasing from original owner (ex. Harvey Norman van). Stripped back internally, painted and insulated with sheep wool, with high-end acoustic panel, wood and bamboo finishes. Lived in for a little bit before COVID got in the way. Reluctantly selling to help purchase a house.
Driven on many adventures around South Australia and beyond. Some favourites include Flinders Ranges, Eyre Peninsula, South Australian and Victorian Riverlands and east coast beaches beyond Sydney. Have used to stealth camp in cities and built-up areas where limited camp site options are available (incognito due to windows only on rear and some minor aesthetic scratches on roller door). Used lightly for the last 2 years as a weekend warrior, hence only 131,000 kilometers. Service history dockets available.
The following features were added to the (previously empty) rear cargo area:
- Sheep wool insulation throughout walls and roof (handy for management of condensation).
- Acoustic paneling eliminates outdoor noise and creates cosy quiet feeling. Also great for blocking out massive flocks of cockatoos at 6am.
- Recycled timber pallets used for wall lining.
- Tassie oak slat roof and bamboo hardwood floor for high-end finish look.
- Large 12v system (will check battery to confirm capacity)
- Multiple 12v outlets with USB-C and regular USB ports.
- Large cabover storage area fitted with mirror to extend look and feel of cabin.
- Storage shelving for trinkets.
- Large bed-side hidden drawer for hanging clothes.
- Bar fridge / freezer.
- Toilet stored under seating (never used).
- Two large drawers for external pull-out kitcheh (perfect for bbqs on the beach).
- Awning over external pull-out kitchen.
- L-shaped couch and Lagun swing table.
- Space for addition of 240v leisure battery beneath bed (I was running an ElecHive 240v portable battery kit for larger appliances).
- Massive garage area for camping toys.
- Recently replaced vehicle battery as it was sitting dormant for a while. Leisure battery has a kill-switch to avoid any slow draw.
Some minor things I wanted to finish but life has got in the way:
- Normal wear and tear on the exterior of van, with some scratches on the roof and side from previous life as a delivery vehicle. Have spot-treated with paint and rust converter where small scratches were, but worth a once-over could be worth it if you care for external aesthetics (we actually found it quite useful having some external dings when stealth camping and decided not to dress it up to draw more attention)
- Re-oiling the floor and wood would make it come up nice (5+ years old)
- Worth looking at 12v system to secure the outlets nicely (easy fix if you're a bit handy). May have to solder light strip back in as I caught it when clearing out the van to sell.
- Sometimes when overcharged, 12v battery charger can beep and needs resetting. Shouldn't be an issue if the van is used frequently.
- May be worth fitting a solar panel if running the fridge continuously. Never had an issue as I usually drive and charge with DC/DC charger, but worth considering if staying in one place for a long time.
- Some minor tidying up of finishes I have never got around to (e.g. little pieces of trim and interfaces between panel materials). I have some spare acoustic insulation panel which I can throw in - great for making things look nice and neat.
Hope this can find a new home and someone can enjoy this cosy, reliable adventure vehicle with high-end finishes. Message for offers - will take any reasonable offers seriously given timing of house purchase.
