One of the most historically significant F6's built - this is the first ever BF F6 Typhoon and first ever ZF 6 speed auto F6. This car was used for F6 Typhoon brochure photography and was used as the Sydney and Melbourne Motor Show display / promotional car. It was also featured on the Motor Magazine PCOTY promotional handout after the Typhoon's win in 2006.
It is the first ever Bionic Blue BF F6 (one of the first 2 Bionic painted FPVs) and is fitted with all of the sought after options of the time including sunroof, 6/4 Brembo brakes, FPV 'chunky' leather steering wheel, FPV floor mats, leather interior, Dark Argent wheels and the ZF auto. It is the only one built in this colour and spec (1 of 1)
P0001 was built in the first batch of BF models in a test run in August 2005, 2 months before the official release in October 2005. There are a number of unique pre-production factory stickers and markings including FEU (Field Evaluation Unit) hand-made tags on the exhaust, "NEW PART" green stickers around the car on revised parts for the BF series (door trims, braking system, wiring, trans related items, jacking kit) and hand-written markings on some parts around the car.
Car has been dry stored under a cover in my ownership, and has remained unregistered. Has recently undergone a meticulous detail including all under-guards and underbody areas, a full interior deep clean, and a paint correction with ceramic coating.
A full restoration has been carried out on the original staggered Dark Argent 19" wheels (28.5 rear and 36.5 fronts with correct wheel nuts still fitted, brand new original centre caps). They are wrapped in brand new Pirelli P Zero tyres. Brembo brakes have also been fully disassembled and stripped before being refinished in the correct colour with correct decals applied. New genuine rotors were also fitted. It presents in absolutely immaculate and unmarked condition as pictures prove, anything of concern was replaced (with original NOS parts) or restored.
Full servicing has also been carried out, with all fluids changed front to rear (metal pan conversion on the ZF auto with LifeGuard ZF fluid), fuel filter, spark plugs and air filter also have been done. Diff bushes, bump stops, centre bearing, wiper arms and blades, front wheel bearings and steering rack ends have been replaced for RWC.
Around $10,000 has been spent on restoration, detailing and servicing alone.
