Reluctant sale of my 2004 Holden VY SV8 Commodore LS1.
5.7L Gen III LS1 V8
Factory SV8
Dual fuel – LPG & Petrol
Strong engine, sounds great and drives exactly how an LS1 Commodore should.
This has been my occasional weekend drive that I originally planned on keeping long term.
Runs great on both LPG and petrol, with LPG making it extremely cheap to drive compared to most V8s.
For RWC it will require:
Oil sump gasket (Slight leak)
LPG tank 10-year compliance inspection (Will pass just needs new stamp on compliance plate)
This has already been reflected in the asking price, and I can pass on details for trusted mechanics who can complete both. Gas certificate mechanic is moblie and come to you.
Recent maintenance already done, including:
New brakes
New Bosch battery
New tyres
Automatic transmission service with oil, filter and gasket (last month)
New coolant overflow tank
New alternator (within last 2 years)
New water pump (within last 2 years)
Full air conditioning service recently completed (20/05/26) with 1 year warranty
Front sway bar links and bushes
Body presents great, interior is tidy, and the car has clearly been looked after. Perfect as a daily V8, cruiser, or future classic Holden to hang onto.
Drives tight, sounds tough and still turns heads everywhere it goes. Genuine honest LS1 SV8 that hasn’t been thrashed or neglected, with most of the expensive maintenance already taken care of.
These older Holden V8s are becoming harder to find in clean, mechanically sorted condition.
All questions welcome"
