For sale is my XR8 which I purchased as a restoration project and to get to know other car enthusiasts in the community. I am selling to make room for the next restoration project. Not in a hurry to sell and happy to wait until the market picks up again. It is kept garaged and covered as it is not my daily driver and I only take it out to cars and coffee or to the mechanic to make sure it is running okay as it is not driven often.
Originally sold by Herrod in Adelaide it has a GT Wheel, Momo Gear knob, Sunroof, 2.5” Herrod exhaust and a Herrod tune.
I have replaced some parts with factory standard but have kept the Herrod bi-wing spoiler, throttle body spacer and grill in case any future owners prefer them. It has 3 spare rims as I am currently working on restoring them.
Extensive work has been done on the car including new:
Front bar
Big mouth intake
Stedi LEDs for both high and low bean
Rebuilt diff with new gears
Heavy duty clutch
PCV valve
Coils
Spark plugs
Bosch O2 sensors
Towbar (factory body panel included should you wish to remove the towbar)
Mixer shaft replaced by Ford
Shock absorbers
Two sets of springs, one slightly raised and one stock. Both with the same spring rate.
Exhaust has just been cleaned and polished.
As an audio enthusiast I have done a lot of work on the audio system in the car. The front speakers have been replaced with Morel Tempo Ultra 572 MKII splits and the rear has Tempo Ultra Integra 572 MKI components. The sub is an 8” kicker installed in the parcel shelf where the factory sub was located. These are all powered by Rockford Fosgate TM1000X5ad Marine 1,000 Watt Class-ad 5-Channel Amplifier. The amplifier is mounted in the boot in the factory position. The head unit is a pioneer ZF9350BT which supports wireless and wired CarPlay, Android Auto and has a reverse camera wired in. I also have kept an OEM head unit so it can be converted back to stock.
I have really enjoyed working on this car and hope someone else will enjoy the car just as much.
