Unfortunately selling my beloved project 330. It’s the second generation update model with led taillights. Also has factory Harmon Kardon sound with sub.
Just spent $4k, serviced, new rear tyres, full roadworthy, rego and a tank full of 98. NO WARNING LIGHTS, ready to drive away.
Most mechanicals done, over past 6 years have rebuilt, repaired or replaced; transmission and torque converter, head gasket, front and rear suspension, A/C, cooling system, diff, alternator, new headlight clusters (with “Angel Eyes), LED interior and more.
Running and Driving better than ever, it drives like a dream, delivering strong powerful performance from its 3 litre, double overhead cam, M54 straight six and handling like it’s on rails. I bought this car for the engine, BMW has been developing and racing straight sixes for decades and this car does not disappoint. From the factory, this naturally aspirated the M54 had as much horsepower as the contemporary local supercharged 3.8lt V6! It’s a light car too ;-)
The car was lowered and rimmed when I bought it, p zero tyres and 19in rims, I’ve had suspension front and rear rebuilt and recalibrated and is legally lowered improving cornering and road presence. Easy to feel the legendary BMW dynamics through the wheel and seat with a chassis that has its genesis with the legendary ‘66 2002. Good economy too, 8lt/100 on the highway and 11lt/100 on my daily commute.
Unable to continue my project due to medical reasons, I offer my beloved E46 330ci for sale. “The last of the analog bmw’s”. Priced at well less than half of money spent so far, and I am unfortunately unable to put a price on my love. Thanks for your consideration. Text to organise a time to come and have a look.
