-Rare Pearl White 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII GT-A
-Over $16,700 Spent on Maintenance & Upgrades in the last 4 years alone (Full Receipts)-
Upgraded Transmission ($5,784): Catastrophic factory wave spring risk eliminated. Sourced lower-km Evo 9 GT-A gearbox ($3,000) with heavy-duty wave spring installed, freighted, and fluid-tested by Tokyo Motorsports ($2,784) in 2024.
Major 2025 Overhaul ($3,766): A single bumper-to-bumper preventative maintenance sweep including a brand new Koyo radiator/cooling overhaul ($1,315), full rear camber/toe arm bushings ($751), new tie rod ends ($457), and premium Bridgestone Potenza RE003 tyres ($671).
Fresh 2026 Servicing ($3,314): Fresh off its second major 100km service in April 2026 (timing belt, water pump, engine seals) alongside a routine logbook service.
Previous Brakes & Care ($3,924): Covers premium front DBA T3 slotted rotors, high-performance pads, and flush ($1,096), plus all routine servicing, diagnostics, and spark plugs spanning 2022–2025. (Note: Front pads sometimes have a slight very low-speed squeak; Tokyo confirmed they just need more driving to fully bed in).
Ownership & Pedigree: Only 1 responsible Australian owner since import in April 2013 (1 owner in Japan prior). Full service history from 2013–2026 with Tokyo Motorsports provided with the car.
-Common Evo Pitfalls-
Be careful of covered up Evo rust buckets—especially under the hood and underneath the car—poorly maintained vehicles without full-service history, or low-km examples that sat idle for years rotting their seals and belts. An Evo 7 GT-A without a transmission rebuild or an Evo 9 GT-A replacement transmission is a ticking time bomb for the wave spring to fail, causing catastrophic damage to the car and your wallet. It's a widely known fatal flaw of the car and a massive trap for new players. Again, I have spent nearly $6,000 on installing a lower-km Evo 9 GT-A transmission for this car. Photos of under the car are also provided in the listing showing no rust.
This car has been my reliable work daily driver—never thrashed, tracked, or abused. It has been exceptionally well-maintained mechanically over its 163,000 km, featuring a completely unmodified factory engine. Selling as I have recently bought a new daily driver that suits my current lifestyle.
-Condition & Pricing-
Interior: Inside is absolutely mint and completely original.
Exterior: Finished in a rare and stunning factory pearl white. It is in good, honest condition for its 24 years, with no major clear coat fade or peeling on the roof or wing (a common issue on these). There is a minor 5cm cosmetic dent/split on the front left bumper, along with some typical paint scuffs and a couple of very minor stone chips from daily driving. However, these are barely noticeable from a couple of metres back and never bothered me. The asking price has already been firmly adjusted downward to reflect the slight bumper damage and the overall body condition.
