Hail damaged, was hit pretty hard from its right/front side by Canberras severe hail storm a few years back.
First pictures are pre-hood change, last pictures post hood change. We have a same model year car also for sale which you can have with this one for free for parts if paying the full asking price!!

Has hail damage. Wasn't written off. Not sure what it will need to pass a roadworthy, I noticed 20th Feb 2021 front left hand side CV Joint the boot of which has split it isn't making noise yet (looks like a $130 part) and there has for a long time been a squeak to the back left which I'm pretty sure is the rear upper control arm bushing, which is about an $80 part not sure what a mechanic might charge to install each part probably a few hundred each, both are likely needed for the roadworthy certificate (not included) I did see one screw in a tyre which is another $45 fix needed if it can be repaired.
I changed the hood after the hail damage to one with minor hail damage, afterwards it was very hard to unlatch the hood so it's currently ajar. Wiper sprayers don't seem to work after doing the hood change, these need looking at.
Other than the hail damage and hood issues, it was driving well when last driven, display digital odometer not clear LCD text broken up sometimes it is clear, km's should be within 5k, has been sitting most of 2 years, moved every few months and battery kept topped up. Runs ok. Seemed to be running a bit lean for the first 30 seconds, I put in a new MAFS (mass air flow sensor) lately and it seems happy again.
I ended up buying another after the hail damage, this one for sale has a better smoother engine than the other, I was going to use this one for parts but moving major parts is too expensive. It could be one of the cheapest running X5's available, price is negotiable. Any enthusiests who like working on these - might suit you?
