For sale is my 2000 Holden VS Ute Olympic S Edition Series III 5L V8 5sp.
This is the very last model that came with a Sequential Injection engine featuring a roller cam. This engine produces 179kw and 400nm. These engines had the option to be enhanced to 195kw and 430nm. (Check brochure in photos) So thats what I did. I’ve spent top dollar on the basics to keep it original while giving it the breathing and performance it deserves.
What’s unique about this car is that is has Holden By Design hard top tonneau lid. Special features also include ID badges and a Manta body kit which has the open front grill followed by 2 fog lights. The Olympic edition also came with a leather steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake. These late model engines have been factory machine clearance to allow a larger stroker crankshaft to be installed if one wishes to do so.
Modifications include:
- Ceramic coated pacemaker extractors
- Full 2.5 inch stainless steel exhaust followed by a 3inch exhaust tip
- King springs suspension slightly raised at the back to give an aggressive stance followed by KYB shock absorbers
- PHC Heavy Duty Clutch
- Over the radiator cold air intake with KnN filter
- Haltech Elite 2000 ECU followed by dyno tune
- 235/45/R17 Bridgestone Potenza Adrenaline re003 tyres
- 17” inch VT Calais International wheels
- HSV 250km/h cluster
- Black window tint
- Comes with 4x original wheels with tyres
- Receipts covering all the little bits in pieces that has been done to the car
I am the second owner of this car and bought it off an older fella about 6 years ago. Since owning it I’ve had the joy of driving and building this car to where it is today. Will be sad to see it go but selling due to buying a family car.
I understand the car has high kilometres but the car has always been looked after and is also recently serviced. The car is not perfect but she does look pretty good for her age and turns heads. This Ute is a piece of history and perfect for a Holden enthusiast that wants to drive her the way she is or upgrade the engine to a stroker.
