Rare ONE OWNER Tickford TE50 in Venom red now for sale. Located on the Gold Coast, QLD.
With Holden and HSV serving up some pretty hot Commodores powered by the Chevrolet-derived 5.7-litre V8, Ford needed a muscle car weapon in their sales arsenal. Partnering with FTE (Tickford Engineering) Ford delivered the Series 2 TE50 released in conjunction with the AU II series Falcon in 2000-2001.
At the heart of the TE50 Series T2 was the revised Synergy 5000 Windsor V8, hand assembled and upgraded with aluminium cylinder heads, a larger throttle body and a revised camshaft good for 220 kW or 300HP. The good old Windsor was able to deliver a 0100 km/h eta in 6.7 seconds and 400m (1/4 mile) in 14.7 seconds.
The T2 exterior was revised with new side skirts bearing the TE50 insignia on the lower skirts and accent grey inserts on front and rear bumpers. The TE50 T2 also featured the Falcon XR's rear wing as standard and the new Azzurro 18-inch wheels which were factory optioned on Build No. 26.
Along with traction control, the 4-speed automatic has ESS (Electronic Sports Shift), which was an Australian-production first by providing buttons on the Momo steering wheel allowing for manual gear shifting.
For sale is Build no. 26 of only 141 T2 TE50s produced. The car is recorded in the T-Series Club of Australia Register and is presented in excellent condition with excellent original Venom Red paint and the optional leather interior. All gauges work, LEDs work on the trip computer, A/C is ice cold, the clock works and the factory radio/6 stacker CD player is working perfectly.
This TE50 has travelled 282,851 kilometres from new with nil accidents, no rust or repairs and with FTE Compendium, owners manual, log books, Tickford new car brochure and a receipt folder.
With QLD rego until April, 2025. FTE-88 plates are included for QLD buyers. Available for inspection on the Gold Coast, QLD. (Ref: 6592)
