It is with much regret that I reluctantly list my magnificent TVR Chimaera 500 for sale due to health reasons.
This car is an Australian delivered car that was initially the demonstrator car when TVRs were sold new in Queensland in the late 1990's. As such is had much money lavished on it mechanically including a mild cam. The first private owner purchased the car with, I believe 5,000kms on it and over a 19 year period added only another 14,000kms. Throughout his ownership he invested in high spec brake caliber upgrade, (modification certified), Nitron NTR R1 System Suspension kit, 19" XXR Alloy wheels plus a myriad of items to enhance the vehicle. The folder of parts and service over the journey is compelling reading.
I purchased the car in March 2020 (my third TVR at that time) and have continued to smother the car with enhancements. In my ownership it has had a Haltec 2000 professionally installed ($20K!) plus a heavy duty competition clutch and high performance starter motor. In my ownership the car has had 26,000kms added almost exclusively during participation in the annual TVR Meet Up and country runs with other like minded TVR owners. Hence, then car is well known and appreciated by the Australian TVR
fraternity. Dyno readings upon installation. of the Haltec indicated some 195kw and in excess of 400nm of torque. It's a magnificently sorted car that is a wonderful tourer as well as around town burbling cruiser.
Reaches 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds!. Only travelled 45100km.
