Up for sale is my genuine First generation Honda Civic EK9 Type R, finished in classic white with the iconic red Type R interior. This is a clean and mostly original example of one of Honda’s most desirable lightweight performance cars.
The car has travelled 98,000km and presents very well for its age. It retains its factory Type R character, including the B16B DOHC VTEC engine, close-ratio manual gearbox, factory Type R trim, red interior, white Type R wheels, rear wing, and genuine EK9 Type R badging and chassis plate.
The car is mostly stock, with only tasteful upgrades including:
* Spoon sports exhaust
* Nakamichi touchscreen head unit with reverse camera.
* Mono steering wheel (have the original)
The engine bay is tidy and original, and the car drives exactly how an EK9 Type R should — light, sharp, responsive, and engaging. The VTEC crossover feels strong, the manual gearbox is crisp, and the Spoon exhaust gives it a great sound without taking away from the OEM feel.
Inside, it has the classic red Type R interior, aftermarket head unit with reverse camera, and a clean overall cabin. Exterior presents nicely in white with factory Type R styling, rear wing, Type R decals, and white wheels.
A great opportunity to own the first Type R ever buikt a genuine EK9 Type R that hasn’t been heavily modified or abused. These cars are becoming increasingly hard to find in mostly original condition, especially with low kilometres.
I purchased this off an older Asian gentleman who had it parked for a while and meticulously cared for it. Since then I've had it parked also, but unfortunately need to move it on. Not in a rush to sell, hoping to find the right buyer for this beast.
