12 months rego. PRICE IS FIRM. If you’re here looking at this you know what it is. A Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution 3.5L V6 auto in rare factory silver. A serious off road screamer, one of 2500 ever build worldwide as a homologation vehicle for the famous Paris Dakar rally.
Following in the footstep of its rally winning sibling the Lancer Evolution, the Pajero Evo has a rally bred history. It not only continued to win the Dakar Rally in 1997, but won eight more times until 2007, giving it the most Dakar wins ever at 12. With 12 victories from 1985 to 2007, it is the car that has won the Dakar Rally the most times - Guinness book of records.
This example only has 135,000 kms on the clock and looks like it has never been driven off road except by me on a few occasions (no dents, dings or bumps either underside or on the body). Before it may have been driven on the sand.
Body: Immaculate condition. Seams all line up and with the Evo body kit stands out in the crowd. I have people stopping me on the street often just to talk about this car. Zero rust.
Motor and drive chain: Nil issues. Cruises through the 5 speed auto box (only came in auto so to reduce driver fatigue in the race and increase reliability due to less clutch changes) effortlessly. Motor is strong and robust and bulletproof. No oil leaks. Again they did not fit a turbo to this model as the sand makes short work of turbos. So you’re buying something here with total reliability but with the performance to match. Tons of tread left on the Yokahamas throughout. Two wheel drive, four wheel drive and diff lock with ABS. Sounds excellent due to a factory fitted Ralli Art exhaust.
Interior: Excellent condition throughout. With five seats you can take the whole family out for fun in this beast. Twin Recaro seats in front. No sagging head liner. No cracks on dash.
Electrics: Everything seems to work just fine.
This car is originally an import from Japan (they all are) so it talks to you in Japanese, and all the manuals and books are in Japanese (but google translator makes them totally useable). Two keys. Full documented service history up to about 110kms.
Fully registered in NSW until April 2026.
Have not gone with the full livery, however have added some tasteful Ralli Art and Evolution decals, mud flaps and tyre cover. These can be removed at the buyers request. Which can easily be removed if not to your taste. New battery just fitted. Plate is a standard issue and not private.
