These iconic AMG models represent a pivotal moment in automotive history, being among the first vehicles developed by AMG in Affalterbach and sold directly through Mercedes-Benz dealerships prior to the full merger in 2005.
As one of the first-generation, pre-merger AMG vehicles, the E36 AMG laid the foundation for what would become the legendary AMG lineage, including models such as the E63 AMG. When new in Australia during, these vehicles commanded a price exceeding $180,000, reflecting their exclusivity and performance credentials. Each example began life as an E280 Avantgarde before being sent to AMG headquarters, where it underwent a comprehensive transformation.
