UPDATE : This is likely your last chance to buy a Diablo VT Roadster in RHD at under AU$1,000,000
The identical twin of my car is currently listed for sale in the UK at GBP430,000 which after LCT, duty and GST totals a landed cost in Australia of AU$1,265,000.
Even at a purchase price of GB400,000 it would be AU$1,180,000 landed, - being $300,000 more than my listed price.
I have included photos of that car, showing the interior in factory "snowcorn" trim colour and the wheel centres etc as it will look again when the vents and wheel centres on my car are returned to the factory "Blu Scuro". The body of my car is still in the original virtually unmarked factory paint. ( also included now is a photo showing the original grey trim, which could easily have the green areas stripped and re-dyed in "snowcorn" - and a note for those who don't like the green, it is actually a Lamborghini factory colour)
Though some sources put the number produced in RHD at 12 to 16, Southwards Car Museum in NZ told me Lamborghini themselves have advised them only 8 RHD VT Roadsters were built, but whatever the number, this is a very rare machine today, and quite possibly one of only two ever built in right hand drive in this fabulous "Blu Scuro".

It is powered by the numbers matching, 500 horsepower 5.7 litre V12 and has traveled just 28,800 miles in its 29 years of life, of which 22,000 have been in my ownership.
I've owned this piece of Marcello Gandini designed automotive art for 21+ years, but I'm 70 now, and even though I love it as much today as when I bought it in 2005, this curvaceous beauty will be better exercised by a new owner who will take it out and enjoy it with more frequency than I do at this stage of my life.
The Diablo's 4WD traction system was years ahead of its time when introduced in 1993, and with values for the Diablo VT Roadsters having started to climb appreciably now, but inexplicably still well below Countach prices, if you're looking for a modern classic supercar with sound investment value, the Diablo VT Roadster is without rival.
Mine is finished in its original Lamborghini "Blue Scuro" paintwork, with the green accents on the original OZ Racing 2 piece wheel centres, the Diablo GT front spoiler and vents having been added by myself soon after my purchase in 2005 and in my view it perfectly complements the Blue Scuro bodywork.
The green leather seat bolsters and centre console detailing, which was colour matched to Lamborghini's own green interior colour, can be professionally stripped back and re-dyed in cream or tan if the green is not to your liking.
The front spoiler itself is a deeper and more aggressively styled one sourced from a Diablo GT, modified to fit the original Diablo VT front guards, and the car does of course come supplied with the original item also.
While the vehicle has been personalised by me with these various touches to make it stand out even amongst other classic exotics, it will be sold in completely original factory colour specification should the buyer request this ~ though I think it would be a shame, as it really is a head-turner as currently presented.
A new front windscreen has just been fitted, it has a performance clutch, and it has the expensive factory optioned remotely adjustable front shocks to raise the front end to traverse judder bars and driveways when needed.
It will be shod with a fresh set of original factory fitment Pirelli P-Zero tires immediately prior to sale.
