This is no mild 5L V8 like you remember from back in the day. It's engine was completely rebuilt from the ground up with a 500hp 355 stroker package along with a custom torque converter to handle the power and rebuilt trans and diff.
It's cam is actually so aggressive that we've had to install an electric vac pump for the brake booster as well as 330mm rotors with twin piston calipers to pull everything up on a dime.
While you can technically fit 17" wheels over the massive front brakes, there is only millimeters of clearance so we're currently running 18" wheels on the front with matching 17" on the rear with very grippy rubber.
Once you get used to how responsive the throttle is, you'll realise you only need a very light foot for driving in the wet or in traffic. However, when you're driving in the dry you'll love how effortlessly you can get thrown into your seat by planting the accelerator.
We've had a vehicle tracker fitted for security (won't come with the car) since the rebuild and it's recorded 26,xxxkm on the motor, the factory odometer is showing 308xxxkm on the body.
It recently became unregistered as the type of interstate rego it had wasn't valid in WA but I'm confident it shouldn't need much repaired for new licencing, due the the regular 6 month servicing schedule prior to the interstate move. I just don't have time to try and coordinate getting her to a mechanic so I've decided to sell her as is for now but if things change and we get her licenced then we'll probably keep her so act fast if you want to snap up a hell of a bargain. Her drive line upgrades alone cost us $22k at the time and it'd probably cost even more to build everything again today.
