Selling this absolutely gorgeous 1995 E220 W 124 finished in Pearl metallic black (code 990) with interior mushroom leather, has 258k on the clock and final year of production of this automotive marvel..
Selling on behalf of my brother who is starting a new family and needs to move it on with regret.
If you are looking at this I am guessing you know about W124's, I don;t need to tell you how good they are, especially a well looked after one like this, there are few cars (apart from higher end models of Merc and BMW) that can surpass the quality of this 31 year car even today!
This one has been with my brother for the last 5 years, prior to this lived all it's life in Queensland, he brought it along to Victoria 4 years ago when he moved, it has been serviced by Mercedes specilaist's both at Allan Lennox in Doncaster and Darren Last in Geelong both ofcourse renowned Mercedes guru's,,
I won't list the numerous things done on this but the main ones are below..
New wiring harness done in 2023 (bills included for proof)
New shocks
Lowered Eibach springs all around.
Respray of bonnet, roof and rear boot with recent paint recorrection.
Apart from this the car sits on AMG monoblocks which are in excellent nick, the wheels alone are worth about 4k and are rare to find these days. Has near new Continentals which are just a few months old and has done less than 500km's on them.
Mechanically the car is in excellent condition, fantasitc on fuel, on the motorway does about 17km/L, 98 unleaded used on this one. Everything works including interior lights, cruise control, air condition (recently serviced and re gassed), engine runs cool with AC on in traffic as it should.
It also has a stainless steel exhaust system with dual tips.
Paint is in very very good condition with no rust and the body is straight as an arrow. Comes with an upgraded dark front grill as well.
Car has window tint and it appears to be in excellent condition with no rips or streaks.
The car attracts attention whenever it is out and does not fail to get a honk or a thumbs up, very smooth to drive to an extent passengers have asked whether this is a straight six, just goes to show how good the engine is.
Car has an upgraded bluetooth compatibale radio head unit ( Kenwood)with a new electric aerial.
I am a member of the Mercedes Benz club Victoria and have my own collection of Mercs and ensure that they are all in really good condition, so there is very little to be done on this as you can imagine.
In terms of negatives there are not much but I would say the driver bolster could do with some attention as there is a small tear there (I have attached a picture), arm rest also looks a little tired.
Right hand side passenger window does not work, it needs a bit of investigating.
For the asking prIce I will provide the wheels as is and a RWC. The car has been very reasonably priced given the attention, time and money spent on this, there is hardly anything to do on this...
Otherwise car will come with stock eight hole wheels.
