Time to part ways with this timeless beauty and fine example of the 90s lean European V8's. Best way I could describe driving this car is being "whisked around in a lounge chair".
The engine is very sweat as it had a top end rebuild. Always used liqui Molly mineral oil. A little rough at start when cold but once warm sounds and pulls beautifully. For a car of this age and km's I've been told the engine is in a great spot by various mechanics.
Reason for sale:
There is an extensive list of small fixes that will get this car to where I would like but with growing up and moving, I don't have the time or space to keep fixing things and am in need of something more reliable as work takes me interstate.
I am the 3rd owner however the second owner inherited it, let it sit for ages half in a car port hence why one half of the cars paint is slightly more worn than the other. Up until him it had perfect service history. I bought it 10 years ago and since then have been some what daily driving it. Up until COVID It had small issues here and then involving coolant going missing so when COVID hit, with all my free time I did a full head gasket replacement with a mate who was a mechanic. In the process we got the heads machined, valves reseated, the rings and cylinder walls were checked and passed as all good. Main seal replaced and timing chain too. Also got a new water pump, thermostat and new seals/gaskets across the board, valve cover gaskets etc... I also replaced a majority of coolant hoses over the years rubber cures and needs to be changed. Car has operated so well until about 6 months ago when it sprung another leak, I fixed that and then another elsewhere! Haven't fixed it yet and I don't have space or time to.
List of things to get car to a perfect state:
Window front passenger
Power steering line slow leak
Coolant pipe at back of engine drivers side?
Air conditioning regass
Cabin heating pump passenger side engine bay, redirect coolant back to original
Rear bumper cracked
Rear seat driver side door card
Rear passenger door dent (drivers side)
*Speakers never worked properly
*Light tilt left side
Cruise control
transmission slow into reverse, sometimes clunky shifting gears when cold, makes a tsssuuiiitttt noise when shifting in certain gears but not always
Sunroof button panel
Worn tyres
Drivers side fog light, temperamental.
Light left and raise, one side broken
Drivers seat electronics, some work some don't.
Now given the long list I would like to remind you that it is all small, quite easy to repair issues. Nothing major that prevents the car from being driven. i would drive it still, just not while there's this new coolant leak.
Please no time wasters, I appreciate some may think it's over valued but good luck finding one with as sweat of a motor as this. Shoot me a message if you would like to come inspect/test drive. I'm very honest about the issues that exist and happy to run through them all during.
Cheers!
