1990 VN BT1 Holden Commodore V8 sedan.
Comes with extensive history from previous owners and QPOL. Factory log books and owners/stereo manual. Build sheet from under the carpet. A folder with $1000’s of receipts. 2 genuine original keys with original dealer key ring and fleet tags. Personalised PPQ plates 50 BT1.
Genuine ex QPOL service vehicle which performed duties during 1990 in Ipswich Traffic branch.
Has undergone extensive restoration over the past 4 years of ownership. I have gone to extensive lengths to source all the operational equipment to bring this vehicle back to near exact operational configuration. All included in the sale.
BT1 options
Bash plate, transmission oil cooler, FE2 suspension (upgraded to genuine VN Group A Bilstein shocks and king springs) interior light kill switch, 15 x 7 steel wheels, dual horns, 2km/hr incremental speedo, level 2 taco cluster, Calais map lights, 85L long range tank, LSD diff, factory fitted cruise control, original springs included.
Police Accessories
Falcon hand held radar (original case and tunning forks), mobile vehicle radar(original case and tunning forks), calibration equipment, original manuals, Motorola radio (period correct), mag light, street directory from 1990, hat and jacket, C90 tape recorder, RBT straws, drivers manual, 2 x Stop Police signs.
Body
Full respray (1J052) including door jams, engine bay and boot. All hanging panels including opera glass removed, interior stripped and driveline removed during painting process. Rust repairs completed in the C pillars, rear windscreen aperture and boot corners. NOS headlights, taillights, weather strips, hockey moulds, windscreen mould, all glass removed from doors. Painted in one stage 2 Pac original colour paint. Brand new front and rear bars non genuine but the silver double pin stripe is 100% genuine GMH NOS as are the mounting brackets. NOS grill badge, new grill, genuine bonnet & headlight protectors. NOS badges. All under bonnet decals new from Stickthis. Genuine VN holden mud flaps. Drop tank/long range tank has been fully professionally refurbished including in tank pump and sender, external pump also. Interceptor rims professionally refurbished and painted with correct GMH wheel silver, NOS center caps.
Police signage is magnetic and can be removed easily for driving on public roads. Light bar is an exact replica of the original bar which I still own. (Not included in sale) It is exactly how it was built in 1990 by Alderley Garage (QPOL) All is working perfectly as it should. Comes with spare rotating beacons (restored).
Interior
All plastics sent away and professionally cleaned, restored and painted to factory (63i) by Wilky Pro Paintz Maroochydore. Quite a few NOS interior parts used. All rubbers and moulds in excellent condition, hoodlining trim and C pillar trims perfect, carpet is genuine one piece new (4 years ago), seat belts and buckles excellent no splits cracks or fading, hoodlining non genuine colour, parcel shelf is 9/10, full metal jacket anti theft device installed on ignition barrel. Interior feels and smells new.
Engine & Bay
Rebuilt 5L to factory standard specs (165kw) with factory exhaust. Brand new NOS bocsh alternator, NOS GM high torque starter, genuine copper radiator and shroud, new washer bottle, airbox, various genuine part numbered GM hoses. New coil, leads, dizzy, water pump, belts, recon ac compressor, reconditions factory headers, non genuine exhaust (red back 2 1⁄2’) with factory GM cat. Rocker and engine covers are NOS, all alloy engine pieces media/soda blasted and coated. New booster and 1’ master cylinder, new refurb brakes, braided lines
Rebuilt T700 cable kick down, diff serviced and inspected, tight LSD, all suspension rubbers replaced, brand new tyres, Factory jack and wheel brace, excellent boot carpets, 15 x 7 spare,
Vehicle is currently insured with Shannons and is on club rego which is not transferable. Plates will go with the car if sold in QLD. Comes with roadworthy
