Its Not an LS or M3 swap.
This humble little coupe started out as a 318i – Conversion performed by BM Teknik’s (BMW Specialist) in Bayswater W.A (Andrew Prior) Sourcing a 3.5 M30 6cyl motor with 70,000km stripped down for reliability.
* M5 5 speed Getrag,
* Large case LSD,
* custom front coil-overs,
* king springs rear & Koni adjustable inserts,
* IS interior,
* $4k worth of dual stainless exhaust.
It has A/C delete, the evaporator and electrical remain, but would require a compressor and condenser/piping, as it has been “a drive occasionally” car for me & I was not concerned.
The car was fully engineered & registered in W.A, later returning to Sydney bringing the the E30 to Syd.. – as NSW engineering authority do not recognise W.A engineering, it was again re-engineered here in Sydney (So, engineering compliance both East & West coast) $10k in engineering alone.
This car is parked in a garage under blankets and car cover & has not seen rain in over 15 years, as life throws you curved balls and family take first place, it does not get driven (Perhaps 100- 150km / year) a waste really.
Recent service and all fluids replaced registered for 5 months (Full NSW rego – as it has been all the way through).
The E30 is currently insured with Shannon’s for $50,000, it has been insured with Shannon’s for over 10 years – they have all documentation / Engineering etc.
The car presents as factory fit and drives as factory, (An increase in power – obviously) the car weighs only 1100kg – so power to weight is the bonus.
