The BMW E30 318i Touring was not offered by BMW to the Australian market . Since its release over 35 years ago, the Touring variant has developed a cult car status worldwide.
This rare & unique example spent it's first 10 years in the UK, when in 1999, its English owner brought it to Sydney on a job transfer. A short time later It was sold to a well known Sydney E30 collector & BMW trained mechanic to add to his collection.
Having owned the car for 10 years have now decided to offer this unique E30 for sale.
The car features;
- European 318i engine with higher compression producing more power & torque than local 318i variants with emission controls.
- original BBS 15inch basket weave alloys with near new Michelin tyres all round.
- original BMW E30 sports seats with hounds tooth fabric inserts. worn bolster on driver seat panel ( original stock front seats in need of re-upholstery can be included in sale)
- BMW e30 cruise control
- Original dash in perfect condition, (no cracks) , as the car has always been garaged.
- BMW E30 On Board Computer
- BMW MTech2 leather steering wheel
- BMW E30 front spoiler driving/fog lights
- Upgraded Halogen Headlight bulbs
- Electric sunroof
- Electric windows
- replaced Alcantara style black headlining
- Upgraded E30 A/C using later model BMW parts. ( e30 A/C systems were designed for European climates) note: most Tourings that made there way to Australia, don't have A/C.
- No rust.
- original paintwork ( minor blemishes as per photos easily attended to)
- Most recent timing belt replaced 12/24.
- Serviced regularly by BMW specialist (previous owner) , no expense spared & only genuine BMW parts used.
- remote control locking, alarm & immobiliser.
- original Speedometer/Odometer with accurately recorded miles. Note E30 odometer's internal mechanisms wear & cease operating, a common problem that is often not remedied, resulting in inaccurate recordings.
- Original BMW Handbook, Service records & working "glove box" torch
- receipts of all work undertaken during our ownership.

This would certainly be one of the best E30 Tourings in Australia & given the diminishing numbers of good E30s worldwide, a worthy, useable & collectable classic.
