This Porsche 1987 911 Carrera 3.2 Targa is an engaging, desirable and classic open-top sports car. It’s finished in the ever-popular shade of Grand Prix White with a contrasting satin-black targa roof bar and a black vinyl-trimmed targa roof panel, over a black leather-trimmed interior.
Under the rear lid sits a naturally aspirated 3.2-litre air-cooled flat-six, which sends its power to the rear wheels via a five-speed ‘G50’ manual gearbox.
This example was originally a UK-delivered car (first registered in 1987) and was imported to Australia in 2004 where it has been since (20+ years).
It rides on a set of 16-inch Fuchs alloy wheels finished in satin-black with anodised lips and is fitted with Bridgestone Potenza tyres. (Front 205/55/16 6s, Rear 225/50/16 7s)
This 911 features a top-tinted windscreen, a rear screen wiper, heater and ventilation controls, electrically adjustable front seats and electric windows. It has been fitted with an aftermarket immobiliser system, a Blaupunkt Bremen stereo with Bluetooth connectivity, a front strut brace and the speedometer has been converted from mph to kph.
The car comes with original owner’s manuals, service booklets, import approval documents and a folder containing 35+ years of maintenance and parts invoices (2 ignition keys are included).
A full engine rebuild, including new valve guides, piston rings, timing chains and all ancillary gaskets was carried out in 2003 (approximately 70000km ago).
A new fuel tank has been fitted, rear brakes, discs and callipers have been replaced and the air conditioning has previously been removed
