selling a fantastic example of a one of the most desirable 928's, is this 1986(which is pre-facelift, but has all the modern features of the S4, like Brembo abs brakes, better suspension, and the 4speed auto with 5L motor). and is able to eek out more power than any other 928 with a basic tune/chip.
no money spared on this, pretty much everything works, and a few things have been mildly modded, has an apple car play/android auto head unit (which is descrete and classy, do have the original included too), has clear indicator lenses for that more modern look (have old amber lenses included), it has had a total top end rebuild for the motor in the last 2 years, including new water pump/tensioner (Porken unit, you may have heard of Porken and the 928 scene, all their products have had decades of evolution and engineering behind them), as well as a Porken chip installed, freeing up 40-50 horsepower. electric Thermo fans, new radiator, exhaust, new top end gaskets, power steering rebuild, most suspension swapped with poly bushes, ball joints etc. and that's all only in the last year or so. have a huge pile of receipts from all the way when it was picked up new. has the additional rear passenger aircon, the rear passenger aircon hoses have been disconnected under the car, but unit still works. also has all LED lights inside and out, and no real cracks on the dash.
The extra power of this makes it to 0-100kph in 5.4seconds consecutively and reliably, and has been down the quarter mile at 13.6sec on a track day, beating the 996 911 Carrera 4s. have the books and a giant pile of receipts, including purchase receipt., has alot of then stock stuff like stereo ($3500 worth), spare tyre and boxes of stuff for it. it's a 9/10 Porsche, only things that are letting it down that point is the paint is not perfect, but is show quality, there is 2 or so little rips in the seats, and the oil pressure guage is inconsistent (bouncing full to 0, but otherwise sits at 0 or full 99% of the time, needs a new sensor), and the aircon needs a regas (I may get it done before sale though). have photos of alot of the mods being done at the time, and can supply.
no rush to sell, we all know what happens to Porsches and value, I'm happy to sit on it for a few years. and I know that the market prefers these 86 models more than anything, hence why I bought it. don't let car sales fool you with the 86's, even if the automated description says it's a 5.0, it probably is a 4.7, verify with a pic of the engine bay.
if you want a car that is faster than the Cayman, 911 Carrera and boxsters of the 2000's but want a v8, well look no further.
