Comments from the seller

New Custodian wanted. "...It is, simply, the epitomy of motoring excellence.” (Kellow-Falkiner advertisement) I am the fourth proud owner of this magnificent 38 year old vehicle, having owned it for 13 years. It is in very good ORIGINAL condition with 66,000miles showing on the clock. This vehicle is currently on non-transferable conditional registration. The reason I'm selling this car is, my poor old body is finding it hard to get in and out of the vehicle as it is low to the ground. It has not been upgraded (molested) in any way. It's been on numerous Jaguar Rally's and also the Classic Adelaide Rally. There were 950 XJ-S V12 cabriolets built with right-hand drive. There are only a few hundred remaining. Diana, Princess of Wales owned and drove one (now at the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust).. Although the Cabriolet was normally offered only as a two-seater, this car was specially fitted with rear seats for the young Princes William and Harry. The XJ-SC can be configured as a Landaulet convertible, a Targa, or a Coupe. The first XJ-SC V12 5.3 to arrive in Australia was on Monday the 25th Feb 1985 it sold for AU$148,000.00 Receiving a new High-Efficiency engine, the 1981 XJ-S HE was now the fastest and most refined open-top, automatic-transmission car in the world at 168 mph.
