1986 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth – Genuine 3 Door | it's a Concourse Candidate or a tarmac rally | Rare in Australia.
If you know Cosworths, you already know how hard these are to find especially genuine 3 door “whale tail” cars in Australia.
German-built (Ford Werke), factory RHD, verified VIN car. Purchased with the intention of a full tarmac rally restoration, but a larger project has taken priority so this one needs to make way, unfortunately.

Very rare in Australia, these simply don’t come up that often. A solid, honest car that’s an ideal concourse restoration or classic race car candidate.
It needs a few tidy-ups, but nothing major the hard part (just finding a genuine car) is already done. This is not a basket case, and it’s not a polished show car either it sits right in that sweet spot where you can take it to the next level properly. The 3-door Cosworth is the one everyone wants the original homologation car. Values globally are only going one way, and Australian supply is almost non-existent.
I didn’t buy this lightly the plan was a proper restoration but space and time are now against me with another significant build underway.
