Selling my 1983 Toyota Cressida,
Neat enough example for a 40 year old car. Recently had engine rebuilt as it threw a rod, but I have since moved over seas and need to sell it to fund other things.
Work carried out :
- Engine rebuilt machining done by Lonsdale engines, new pistons rings bearings etc.
- faced intake manifold and thicker gasket by SE gaskets
- Fresh record radiator by southern radiators 12mm tubes (Toyota genuine coolant used
- X12 injectors tested by KPM Motorsport. Flowed and installed closet 6 flowed
- Viscus hub fan silicone oil replaced Toyota genuine
- Transmission service and converter seal
- De pinned and installed more common smaller distributor
- New spark plugs
- New High tension leads
- New water pump
- New water temp sensors(gauge and ecu)
- New air filter
- Painted head shields, manifolds, engine block.
- New coolant hoses (replaced every clamp) worm drives
- Replaced all perished vac lines
- Ran motor in for 100km Penrite run in oil and ryco filter used
- currently 10w40 full mineral oil change to be done at 201,000km (1000km) after rebuild (couple hundred km away)
I’m sure there’s loads more a family friend mechanic did all the work and is happy to help and explain any questions.
A regrettable sale, drives beautifully, but now I’m overseas, I won’t drive it much at all!
