It is now time to sell my 1984 Electronic Fuel Injection Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate. This is a series 3 "Aerodinamica".
I have owned the Alfa since 2019, and in that time it has always been garaged and maintained by experienced mechanics who specialise in European vehicles, they are BMC Automotive who have recently changed their name to Sportivo Motors. The Alfa also underwent a professional respray approximately 8 years ago by Cousin's panels in Coburg. Improvements I have made since owning it are
-A new stainless steel exhaust system.
-New spider seat covers, made in the correct style and material.
-Including new foam seat base and seat back.
-Also reupholstered inner door trims made from the correct original Skai pattern vinyl.
-All interior improvements from Classic Alfa in the UK.
The Spider Roadster is a fun car to drive, giving you back the feel of driver and car as one. Also the option of driving with the top down only enhances that feel.
The Bosch Electronic Fuel Injection system, which was introduced from 1982-1990, eliminates issues with carburettors, and ensures a first start every time.
The Spider is presented well, both mechanically, and visually.
My reason for selling it is that I simply don't drive it enough, this is a sports car that has to be driven and enjoyed, and having the iconic name Graduate, as it was marketed in North America because of it's appearance in the Dustin Hoffman film, the Graduate, gives the Alfa that nostalgic and classical level of appreciation. I have reduced the price as I now also need room in the garage. This is a beautiful Alfa Romeo Spider, and I'm sure when you see it you will agree, but unfortunately, we have to part ways.
