Selling my much loved 1981 Mini Moke, just not using it as much as we would like to.
Nice, well balanced 1100cc engine with no oil leaks. 4 speed gearbox, extractors and 1 1/2” SU, Disc brake front end.
Hood and doors were made by ACE Motor Trimmers in Melbourne and in top condition. They fit great with very little flapping even at highway speeds.
The Moke has been on Club Plates. Happy to show you all of my complete log books and for any inspections.
Will be sold unregistered.
Straight up I will say that if your after a show and shine Moke that only comes out for a car show once a year, this Moke is probably not for you! Although holds its own at any show and gets lots of interest.
This Moke is so fun to drive.
The Galvinised body has zero rust and no dents, but the paint does have a few scuff marks from getting gear in and out.
From a ground up, complete nut and bolt restoration in 2012, which included fully refurbishing or replacement of everything including all new disc brake assemblies, wiring harness, lights, full engine and gearbox rebuild etc.
This Moke had been built to do some adventure driving and long distance, trouble free touring of this great country and it drives so nice and is very comfortable for the long highway drives and twisty mountain roads, as well as navigating those city streets that connect us to the great outdoor adventures.
All 5 wheels are original Sunraysia rims that have been powder coated in black onyx fitted with Bridgestone R623 175R13 light truck tyres.
- Recent windscreen and side 1/4 widows replaced.
Subtle modifications include minimizing weak spots such as :-
- The front bump stops have been replaced with hydro style rubber bump stops to make for easy, on the run replacements.
- Drive flanges have the ability to replace a broken wheel stud without the need to dis assemble the whole wheel assembly.
- The dash panel has been fabricated to allow the facia to be removed without pulling the whole dash apart.
- Donaldson air cleaner separates dust before the air filter, great for the dusty roads we sometimes come across.
- Lots of parts have been powder coated.
- Adjustable lower control arms for that perfect wheel alignment.
- 80 Chanel CB radio.
- Responce marine grade am/fm radio.
- Speakers in headrests.
- lockable glovebox mounted under the passenger seat.
- Anderson plugs ( fused) fitted. Also ran to the trailer plug.
- Exhaust system built to increase ground height clearance, not hanging to hit every speed hump or driveway.
- Very regular maintenance and oil changes.
Much, much more.
The pictures form a big part of my description, a more complete list and details of inclusions will be available upon an inspection prior to sale.
