1981 Range Rover Classic 2 Door Manual 4WD
- 1981 range rover 2 door classic, complete professional CONCOURSE STANDARD.
99% period correct detail, finish & specification,
- the vehicle on offer is basically "a new car" as would have come from the Leyland factory in 1981, we have not simply refurbished 38 year old parts, but in most cases replaced many parts with new "Original" and or "OEM" parts from reputable supplies in the UK
- this is genuine & proper nuts & Bolts restoration carried out over the last 12 months by qualified mechanics, painters, trimmers & auto electrician, very experienced trades men with land rover/range rover products for more than 40 years, this is not a back yard home garage project
- paint colour is SAHARA DUST this is the original colour as it came from the factory
- body & all panels off, all panels stripped, by redistrip & repainted including sound deading coating to the rear of the panels, body & underbody as per the original extent & detail
- chassis & all suspension stripped, cleaned & repainted to original detail
- all suspension & braking components replaced with new parts "ie" springs, shocks, steering damper, brake cylinders, disks, brake pads, etc, including all brake lines seals & gasgets etc
- front rear axles fully restored including new parts as required
- motor 3.8 V8 engine fully restored, balanced & blueprinted, including new mild cams, and all new parts as required, original twin stomberg carburettors refurbished & tuned
- gearbox LT95 4 speed manual gearbox & transfer case fully restored including new parts as required
- interior,all interior to original detail and specification, uk "exmoor trim" carpet set higher spec than original,
all new ex moor upholstery and foam inserts to front and rear seats ,including underlay and sound deading layer to body floor
- new roof lining panels with fibre glass backing, including sound deading layer to roof, all new fibre glass, internal side wall panels, to seat frame and rear quarter panels
- all new electrical / wiring harness, front and rear lighting & all internal lighting & globes etc
- original factory fitted in dash, AMC air con refurbished & regassed to meet current regulations, new air conditioning compressor, condensors core including all lines
- new starter motor, alternator, distributer, battery etc , all to original detail/spec or better
- all new Smith gauges to match original spec
- refurbished original odometer, water temp, fuel gauge & dash
- all new rubbers to front windscreen, side windows, doors, rear upper & lower tail gate etc
- rear upper glazed tail gate all new spec including aluminium frame glass and latches etc,
- new fuel tank, fuel pump, and sensor, including all fuel lines
- new radiator, water pump, hoses, twin fans, including all belts etc
- 5 new original spec, MICHELIN XM+S tyres
- new pioneer radio & speakers, 13 band, including bluetooth,
- note all new parts sourced from UK suppliers of original & OEM parts manufacturers
- this vehicle is as new, only travelled 300 kl & is still being run in, never driven on wet days
- full photographic documented restoration history supplied with vehicle, approx 450 photos
- vehicle has historic rego & therefore not transferable
- With our restoration we have tried to keep the heart & soul of the iconic grand breaking range rover, by maintaining the period correct detail & specification as close as possible to the original, when it first rolled off the production line in 1970.
