I am selling my Dodge D5N pickup truck because I need the money to fund another project. All original registration documents are available to prospective buyers, including the original South Australian Registration Certificate. The Dodge is registered with Historic Vehicle Registration current until 24/1/2025 with a recent mechanical inspection from my car club's Authorised Mechanic.
The Dodge D5N is described as having straight frames and body. The rear axles are "hypoid fully floating" with a limited slip differential. The D5N has a standard 3 speed all synchro transmission and a standard Chrysler built "Orscheln" handbrake. Driving a Dodge truck is a complete driving experience, you immediately get an appreciation of this motoring era as the sound of the 318 V8 engine creates a complete driving experience. The absence of current vehicle management systems and suspension dampening adds to the driving experience.
In July 2023 the brake drums were fully machined, fitted with new wheel bearings and new wheel cylinders and brake shoes. The installer is available for technical verification. The truck also comes with new Kenda 50Rx15 rear tyres fitted in late 2023.
Mechanical Specifications:
The Dodge D5N comes a 318 /V8 engine which has undergone a complete rebuild in 2013. Since then the truck has only travelled 1300 km's as indicated by the new odometer. The original odometer is included in the sale to ensure the new owner has a complete history of ownership. The new engine is rated at 425 HP with the following mechanical and performance specifications:
