This elegant 1977 (complied 1978) Jaguar XJ6 proves that prestige and power can go hand-in-hand.
My Son in Law and I purchased this vehicle in 2015 as a Restoration Project.
We have happily spent in excess of $18,000 on this yet to be completed Project.
This Beauty has always been registered in South Australia, and is well known to Sovereign Brit Parts since first owner.
We have most of the Repair /Maintenance history since 2006. There were some years in between where we were unable to recover the Maintenance History.
We have all invoices on extensive restoration since purchase. All Mechanical Repairs etc are too extensive to list here but are available if required.
The Vehicle was resprayed in 2016, with a slight speckle in the original Blue to make it more interesting.
Perhaps our proudest achievement has been the completion of the interior Upholstery. This was done by a European Craftsman whose work was arguably better than Jaguar could ever do.
The Car has Historic Registration through the Australian Jaguar Owners Club. This can be transferred to new Owners.
The yet to be completed tasks include Carburettor Tuning, Fuel tank (One had been removed to make way for LPG, but we removed to bring back to original). Airconditioning needs to be regassed. There is a minor oil leak from engine and Power Steering Rack.
The car has Central Locking, power windows, power steering, aircon, New JVC Sound System.
We are looking for someone to take over and complete our beautiful Project to enjoy as much as we have.
We are only selling as my Son in Law now has an extra addition to his Family, so with pressure from his wife, he now has more urgent Human responsibilities.
