Dorothy the Green Dinosaur is a 5.0 not a 4.2. 1977 holden Torana SL/LX hence the SLX. This car is one family owned since new. please read the story in the photos. We have decided to sell our family car to help finance the cost of university fees. Selling the car is not something we have to do or really want to do, but if it helps our daughters to not have a Hex dept so be it. We also think Grandma Dorothy would like that. If the vehicle doesn't sell we will still continue to use it as we do now for formals, graduations, club and track days. We have two daughters that have driven the Torana on their L plates and do really enjoy the driving experience and the attention it brings. Our girls are the 4th Generation on her mother’s side to have driven the Torana. The first generation being Great Grandma Dorothy the original owner , then her daughter Desley, then her daughter Kelly, and now her daughters Madison and then Makenzie. We have had the Torana for approx 25 years. during that time we have used the car as a daily driver, for our wedding car, graduations and formals. The SLX decals are stickers. If the SLX is not your thing, peel them off. As the new owners you can put SLR ,A9X ,Torana or even your name on the car. The car has always been garaged and only driven in the rain twice since we have owned it. The colour is the the original colour called "super mint metallic green", with black highlights . The car is “Dorothy the green dinosaur” it was resprayed by Darren a Gold Coast Panel and Paint. The car was a bare metal respray procedure. Things l have changed: 308 motor is from a HX statesman. I had purchased a 308 rebuilt motor that had been rebuilt to 60 thou. I have put on all the bolt ons ,twin Thermo fans, electronic distributor, Edelbrock carburettor, sports air cleaner, Proflow Gilmer belt drive, large alloy radiator with an overflow bottle. At present the engine has just over 3000km on it. it was serviced at 1000km. The Gearbox didn't handle the new motor so it was sent to Qld Automatics for a rebuilt and upgrade. HQ rear HD king springs LX Torana front HD king springs Pedders Performance Shockies front and rear 15inch Dragway classics 5 spoke chrome rims. tyres are: front 205/55/15 . rear are 245/60/15 dual exhaust pipes. chrome tips Drop tank cover window tint. 4 point 3 inch green race harness and original seat belts too, SAAS race seats. Kill switch 85 LED lights over, under, and inside the car. Rear head rests extra gauges, tacho, volts, oil pressure, Amp, vacuum and engine temperature. 80 channel UHF radio. 7 inch dash mounted flip out MP5 stereo player with 4 speakers. Boot mounted fold down 10 inch DVD player customised boot dukes of hazard and claxon horns. mudflaps rear window louvre dash matt wood grain steering wheel. green dash lights orange daylight running lights. green parker globes front and rear bumper over riders.
