It is time to move this beauty on to a new and deserving owner.
Sadly age (mine) and a change of circumstances mean we have to part ways.
She’s a 1977 build BMW 3.0L; the long wheel base sedan version of the iconic BMW e9.
During my many years ownership and in particular the last 5,000 kilometres the following work has been undertaken:
• Cylinder head replaced with later M30 model head and reconditioned/rebuilt with new parts.
• Both carburettors overhauled with new kits.
• New Radiator.
• Both brake boosters overhauled.
• Auto transmission service and fluid flush.
• Front and Rear brake callipers overhauled with new pistons, seals and rubbers.
• All brake hoses replaced with new hoses.
• Centre drag link and tie rod replaced.
• Front end bushes and rubbers replaced.
• Rear muffler replaced with genuine BMW muffler.
• Closed door respray including replacement bonnet, boot lid, front fenders and inner wings. All rust cut out and replaced with fresh metal.
Interior presents in very good condition, particularly, seats, roof lining, carpet and door panels. Minor cracks in dash but protected by bespoke dash mat.
Other work sorting electrics also undertaken, including ignition switch, horn and window motors.
Other stuff that I’ve probably forgotten but she drives beautifully and pulls like a train.
I’ve put over $30,000 into this car but I don’t expect to get that back and am offering it for sale at a very, very reasonable $21,000. This is a turn key car to use and enjoy. In different circumstances I would be keeping it long term.

Also available for separate purchase after sale of car are several thousand dollars worth of spares. Also have the factory workshop manuals available. Purchaser of car will have first option on these spares and I would also consider selling car and spares as a package.
