1974 Mercedes 107 450 SL This is an Australian delivered car and I’ve owned it for 9 years. It has a factory fitted hard-top as well as a factory soft-top. The original interior is in magnificent condition with the seats being near perfect. It has a refurbished dash and console and the car presents very well, bearing in mind that this is a 51 year old car. This 450 SL drives extremely well - nice and smooth with plenty of power. It comes with the original sales handbook from new. I've just had some major works done including a fuel service. The following works were all undertaken by a vintage Mercedes specialist. All injectors and injector cones removed All associated seal and cones cleaned resealed Replace 3 plastic cone seals Clean and refit injectors Adjust timing and fuel mixture Replace transmission mount Replace both engine mounts Replace flexible air line from air slide to throttle body Replaced manifold pressure sensor Replaced engine module 8 new spark plugs Oil change Replaced all rubber fuel lines (front & back) Replace gear shift linkages Replace trigger points Set the tappets Replaced vacuum hose The above works cost over $6000. This car is a pleasure to drive and is extremely presentable. It's perfect for a weekend blast to the peninsula or the hills or use it as a unique daily. It attracts lots of attention and starts first time, every time. It’s a clean example and it drives beautifully. I’d love to keep it, but I’ve run out of room. It’s on club reg and will be sold unregistered. $46,000
