Anyone that has restored an E9 can attest to the lengthy process involved (and expense ) to ensure it is “done right” . I carried out my restoration over a period of some 10 years during which time rare and NLA parts were sourced. So, what is offered here is the culmination of many years of bloodied knuckles, sweat and tears.
I first saw this rolling piece of art in a dealership showroom all those yeas ago and was totally enthralled with what is now considered BMW’s most beautiful car ever. Some four decades later it still evokes the same response from car enthusiasts of all ages and I have never tired of that timeless pillarless profile. This csi is not just about good looks either given it is a true GT that was rated for a top speed nudging 140 mph back in the 70’s.
After nearly forty years of ownership,it is time for a new custodian to enjoy and appreciate this rare and beautiful classic vehicle.
