This is a very rare Lotus Elan +2 JPS (John Player Special) special edition. Only 115 of these were made and I believe there is only one other in Australia. The JPS all had the black body with a gold roof, gold waistline pinstripe and gold sills. All had the 130 Big Valve motor and the 5 speed gearbox. This car has been restored on a replacement Spyder chassis with a replacement alloy fuel tank fitted. An electronic ignition module has been fitted but can be easily removed. It also has an aftermarket high energy starter motor and the original Lucas starter motor is included. Rear lap belts are fitted. It even comes with a period-correct Lotus key fob. It comes with an authentication certificate from Lotus Heritage, a genuine Lotus workshop manual, original jack and tools and some spares. The car is used regularly on club runs, is reliable, and is in excellent condition. It is currently on Conditional (historic) registration and is therefore not transferable. However our car club requires a 'pink slip' inspection each year and would have no problem will full registration. Genuine enquiries only please. No swaps or silly offers.
