On offer is my '73 MKI Jensen Healey. Of the only 10,500 Jensen Healeys ever produced, 3358 of them were the MKI, making the marque, and the surviving cars, quite rare. From the collector/restorer's point of view, it is the MKI which is considered the rarer and arguably the purer examples of the type.
While not concours, this Jensen Healey is an extremely presentable example of the marque. Mechanically sound, and with a newly rebuilt gearbox, new clutch assembly, new tail shaft universals, and new exhaust system, it drives really well. The original wheels have been glass-bead blasted, and polished, and it is well shod all round. An oil temperature gauge has also been fitted. The odometer shows 40,700 (miles).
There is a genuine hardtop, in excellent condition, a pretty ratty soft-top, and the correct tonneau cover. The zip needs to be replaced, but the tonneau itself is really good. All genuine components not seen in the photos (rear bumper assembly, centre console, genuine air cleaner, etc), come with the car. The only blemishes on the upholstery can be seen in the last photo. The original steering wheel will be refitted for the sale.
This Jensen Healey represents a very good and extremely affordable entry into the classic car market. Being on Club plates, it will be sold unregistered and without RWC.
