1972 VW Beetle 15 Millionth edition in original paint (Honey Brown).
This ol' girl has been with me for the last 25yrs, in my family for the last 30yrs and we're the second owners from new.
I'm putting her up for sale as she just doesn't get driven so much these days.
A summary of the major mods/upgrades:
- 1640 engine originally rebuilt by Stan Pobjoy (was 1300), rebuilt and refurbed again since
- Vintage Speed twin tip exhaust
- twin Solex 35PDSIT carbs with custom air intake, fuel regulator and gauge
- SVDA distributor with Petronix electronic ignition module
- 14Point7 iDash with wideband O2, oil pressure and temp sensors installed (ie use mobile phone to display additional data
- disc brake conversion in front, Type 3 drums in back
- 15" Speedilite wheels
- Koni adjustable shocks all around
- lowered all around for flat stance; lowering adjusters in front, camber compensator in back
- reupholstered interior
- alternator upgrade (from generator)
NOTE: speedo changed multiple times throughout it's life due to mechanical failure so mileage is not accurate.
Would love to see this go to someone who's genuinely going to use it and work on it (rather than add to a collection).
A bunch of parts and supplies to come with it.
