This is my 1972 VW Type 3 Squareback that I bought about a year and a half ago as a project car. The engine runs great and starts on the first try every time. The car has new:
Drive shaft bolts
Gaskets
Bump stops
Fuel lines
Front brake discs
Front brake pads
Front wheel bearings
Steering column bearing
The generator has also been fully restored internally.
Engine’s in great condition and it drives really well — no issues there. Interior’s tidy and everything works as it should.
There’s some rust around the car, nothing surprising for a car this age. Would suit someone looking for a solid base with a bit of bodywork to do.
The car is currently registered on historic plates, its last safety inspection was on the 14th of November 2024.
Included with the car are spare panels: a bonnet and two left and right rear panels, plus a right front panel, as well as some miscellaneous spare parts from the previous owner.
This car is very unique and rare and so much fun to drive around. Unfortunately I’m selling because I no longer have the time to continue working on it and enjoy driving it.
Happy to answer questions or organise a time to take a look.
Price is negotiable!
(disclaimer, kms driven is most likely not accurate as with older cars once they have driven over 100,000 kms the clock resets)
