MGB GT 1972.
Stunning teal blue; immaculate paintwork, very solid and reliable car. Zero rust (a fridge magnet sticks to the metal right along the sills - and everywhere else...). 4-speed with overdrive. Electronic ignition fitted.
ExtensIve documented history. Has original delivery paperwork from British Leyland - sold to a Mrs ACJ Crossley of London for delivery May 19th 1972.
The car has then been to South Africa. Extensive paperwork indicates comprehensive restoration there including:
- 2015: new windscreen, brake master cylinder and hoses, brake disks, brake shoes re-bonded. Carby jets replaced, needles adjusted. New coil. Front shock absorbers overhauled.
- 2018: re-cored radiator, new thermostat, front suspension overhauled, timing cover gasket, door mirrors, speedo cable. New master and slave clutch cylinder, new flasher unit and brake light switch.
I bought the car in 2023 from a Sydney businessman who'd imported it from South Africa. Financial demands have forced an earlier sale than I'd planned.
Currently on club rego, so will need to be sold unregistered.
