12/1972 Chrysler Valiant Wagon – Genuine Survivor, first registered in 2/1973
Note, the car is a 215 not 245, Carsales doesn't allow that selection.
A rare opportunity to own an exceptionally original 1972 Chrysler Valiant station wagon. This car is a genuine survivor and was owned by the original owner in Wagga Wagga from new until around 2010, when it was sold to a collector.
The car comes with extensive documentation, including original paperwork and a remarkable fuel consumption log kept by the original owner. The last entry in the log was made in 1997 at 21,667 miles, and the car now shows just 23,497 miles on the speedometer, making it an incredibly low-mileage example.
The previous owner before me (likely the second owner) had the car on club registration for a period of time. I have owned the car for approximately four years, during which time it has been kept in storage and not registered.
The car retains many interesting original features, including:
Original Chrysler dealer documentation
Driver’s sun visor with ignition lock cover and seatbelt safety warning
Original spare keys with factory codes that have never been used
Extensive historic paperwork and receipts
Condition
Interior: Very well preserved. Seats are in excellent condition, the dashboard is crack-free, and there are only minor cracks on a couple of armrests consistent with age.
Body: No obvious rust. Quarter panels, seams, and seals appear rust-free.
Paint: Approximately 90% original paint. A previous owner carried out some repaint work on a quarter panel and the tailgate, but the remainder of the paint is original and presents extremely well.
Overall, this is a very honest and highly original Valiant wagon, and examples like this are becoming increasingly difficult to find. It would ideally suit a Valiant enthusiast or collector looking for a genuine survivor car with extensive history and documentation.
