At the rear is an air-cooled 50bhp 1.6-litre dual port flat-four boxer engine, and this example is equipped with a four-speed manual transmission.
The underside and chassis of this bus are in amazing condition, rare to find in cars this age!
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
. The Kombi has been totally restored including a full respray and fresh upholstery.
. To the owners knowledge, the mechanicals were kept to mostly factory specifications, and the engine stamp shows the correct AD type code for a 1600cc dual-port motor.
. The whole body shell, including the interior, was resprayed in vibrant yellow, while the roof section on the outside was repainted in white to give the classic two-tone appearance.
. The front and rear bumpers were refinished in white, and the steel wheels were repainted in red with white hubcaps. The light lenses and metal trims all appear to be correct, and at the front there is a pair of headlight eyebrows.
. Its interior was treated to a full re-trim, using high quality black vinyl with a basketweave finish for the seat facings. The door cards and other interior panels were also reupholstered in textured black vinyl, and the headlining was renewed.
. Ahead of the driver is a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, and VDO instrument gauges. There are also drilled metal window winders.
. An aftermarket Clarion head unit has been installed.
CONDITION
With the restoration completed within the last 12 months, the bodywork is presented in superb condition. The yellow and white paintwork still looks pristine, with no obvious marks or blemishes. All of the exterior trims and badges are also in great shape. All of the interior upholstery is still as-new, with no wear or damage. The owner reports no known mechanical or electrical faults, nor issues with controls or gauges.
SERVICE HISTORY
The cosmetic and mechanical restoration was completed in 2020 and the car has required no maintenance since then. There is no previous service history available.
