Lotus Europa S2 1970 Model. Australian delivered (to Geoghegan & sons). Date of sale – 12th June 1970. Invoice number 10049. Matching chassis, engine and gearbox numbers! Lotus Certificate of Vehicle Provenance included with the sale (see photos). Chassis Number: 0186Q Engine Number: 2540 Transmission Number: 0907 A gorgeous example of the iconic, mid-engine Lotus Europa S2 Type 54. Only 2,750 of these vehicles were originally produced (Source: Lotus Ltd) making it highly collectable! The previous two owners had spent $20,000 on major works including an engine rebuild, transaxle/gearbox rebuild, sway bar replacement and a fuel tank overhaul. The carpets are getting old and there are some spider cracks in the paint (paint needs a refresh), however the vehicle is in good condition considering it is 55 years old. A spare engine - a 1974 Renault TS 807 with cross-flow head is also available upon negotiation. The car runs and drives beautifully and is currently used on historic registration. A real head turner!
