A rare Holden, the HG GTS 350 is one of only 405 HG 350s built 141 autos and 264 manuals. A Pagewood, Sydney built Monaro, this Kashmir White HG 350 was originally purchased by a gentleman from Devonport, Tasmania from Motors Holden. He optioned the Monaro with the Black Vinyl Roof, T-Bar automatic gearbox and deleted the Black Air Scoops on the bonnet. The current owner purchased the Monaro in 2008 and has rebuilt the engine and gearbox to factory specifications as well as fitting 20 NASCO accessories, almost every accessory available for the Monaro in the day. It took 6 years to track down these super rare NASCO accessories.
Thee Monaro still wears most of its original factory paint with some touch ups over the years & the usual maintained servicing as required. The car now shows 123,156 miles and is supplied with blank Log Books, Owners Manual & various other manuals.
The numbers matching motor has been rebuilt to factory specifications. All the original rare 350 components are all intact, including the original numbers matching Rochester 4BBL Carburetor, auto choke, Air Cleaner, radiator, fan shroud, correct water pump, Master cylinder, Starter motor, battery terminals and rare clips etc. The GTS is fitted with the correct Ram Horns exhaust manifold, dual exhaust and then through to the correct GTS 350 quad exhaust pipes. The Monaro is also fitted with factory power steering, NOS grill mounted insect screen, NOS Holden number plate frames, water carrier and headlight protectors plus door edge guards, bumper over riders, door scratch plates and mud flaps. The GTS is also supplied with genuine rear wheel cover spats that are easily fitted.
The Monaro features the original 2 speed Powerglide which has also been rebuilt. The GTS also features the date coded Army Green tail shaft, date coded 10 Bolt Salisbury Differential complete with diff tag.
The Interior is completely original including seat trimmings, door cards, roof lining, Steering wheel, Gauges, Dash top and Glove box with the exception of the carpets which have been replaced with NOS loop file carpet. The original super rare 13 transistor Air Chief push button radio, original rear chrome speaker with fader control and the super rare genuine blue tip antenna are also still in place. Also the GTS is fitted with an under dash Air Chief cassette stereo. This comes with the super rare dealer Air Chief instruction manual. The GTS is also fitted with a near impossible to find NOS vanity mirror, Holden floor mats, seat belt retractors, under dash parcel shelf and transmission lock.
The boot area is all intact with the a genuine NOS boot matt, jack, tools and original date coded spare fitted with a 14' red band tyre. The wheels & hubcaps are all the original ones to the car with Silverstone Red Band tyres.
All the original date coded glass is in place except for the front windscreen and the GTS is fitted with a matching black vinyl covered sun visor and super rare windscreen protector.
The GTS 350 has been entered in The Monaro Nationals in Ballarat, VIC, Warwick, QLD, Busselton, WA and Barossa Valley, SA and each time has won its class as HG Factory Authentic. The Monaro has also been features in many publications including in Perth Street Cars, Australian Muscle Car Magazine, Norm Darwin's HK,T,G Story and Darwin's Monaro Magic Platinum Edition.
This car is certainly a labour of love. A HG GTS Monaro with the lot! A great reference car, with its NASCO options and originality making it a very unique time warp Monaro.
